Although the New York Yankees may face elimination in Game 4 of the World Series, a potential appearance by Gerrit Cole on the mound against the Los Angeles Dodgers seems unlikely.

SNY’s andy martino Reports on Monday said the Yankees “have not considered, much less discussed” starting Cole on three days’ rest to possibly avoid a series loss.

“Those sources didn’t say there was zero chance of it happening, but as of now, it’s not on the radar at all,” Martino wrote.

New York is coming off a 2-0 series deficit at Yankee Stadium, unable to capitalize on winning opportunities in the first two contests of the Fall Classic.
