Indian cricket team star batsman Virat Kohli In one of the rare public appearances after the ODI series against Sri Lanka, he was seen crossing the road in London. Kohli’s performance against Sri Lanka was not good and he scored just 58 runs in 3 matches at an average of 19.33. In the video clip that went viral on social media, Kohli is seen crossing the road in London. Kohli had earlier visited London after India’s T20 World Cup 2024 win and was earlier seen with his wife. Anushka Sharma and newborn son Akay. Virat and Anushka were previously pictured attending a kirtan at the Union Chapel in London.

Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah is expected to return for the three-Test series against New Zealand starting October 16 after his break following India’s T20 World Cup triumph, but the pacer might be rested for the two Tests against Bangladesh in September.

It is understood that the Indian team management and selectors are looking to bring in more variety in the pace attack and hence a left-arm seam and swing bowler could also be included among the pacers vying for a spot in the Test squad.

In terms of experience and exposure, the selectors have two options – Arshdeep Singh, who is a regular in the T20 format and Rahul Dravid, who is an injury-prone and slightly irregular player. Khalil Ahmedwhich are rated very highly in some circles.

“In Bumrah’s case, he knows his body best and it will be up to him whether he wants to play in the Test matches against Bangladesh or not. The team management and selectors are very clear that India need a 120 per cent fit Jasprit Bumrah for all five Tests against Australia. Before that, India have New Zealand, where he will probably play and will be prepared for the tough tests,” a BCCI source told PTI on condition of anonymity.

In Arshdeep’s case, his debut in red-ball cricket actually took place Rahul DravidAs per the plans of the team he was sent to Kent to play some county games last year.

Khalil is a very good bowler, but he has a tendency to be inconsistent in his bowling. The other option for a left-arm fast bowler is yash dayalBut he is behind Khalil and Arshdeep in this race.
