Olympic medallists Beth Potter and Alex Yee will lead the British squad for the World Triathlon Championship Series in Weihai, and you can watch it live on the BBC.
The event, to be held in China on September 27, is the last chance for athletes to earn points before the finals in Andalusia, Spain in October.
GB have a strong squad, with Kate Waugh, Georgia Taylor-Brown and Sophie Coldwell joining Paris 2024 bronze medallist Potter in the women’s category. Olympic champion Yee is one of five Britons competing in the men’s race.
Yee is ranked third in the men’s category, while defending champion Potter is ranked third in the women’s category.
Australia’s Matthew Hauser leads the men’s rankings in Weihai, while Paris gold medallist Cassandre Beaugrand of France leads the women’s rankings, with her compatriot Emma Lombardi in second. Four-time world champion Bermudian Flora Duffy is fifth.
After China, the series will move to Spain for the final, where additional points will be available – 1,250 for the male and female winners, while the other stages of the series will earn 1,000 points. The final can be watched live on the BBC.
