bet of the day

Newport or draw double chance – 31/20

Newport County have won their last two League Two matches and they look to end a miserable run of form when they meet Bradford City on Monday evening.

The Welsh outfit have not beaten the Bantams in six attempts and they were on the end of two 4-1 defeats in the fourth tier last season.

But County are looking forward, and they ended their four-game losing streak with a 2-1 win over Crewe and an even more impressive 3-1 win over big-spending Salford last Tuesday.

Newport’s away form is a matter of concern, but it is a good time to take on a West Yorkshire side who have won just one of their last six games amid an injury crisis.

County have lost eight of their last 10 league matches away from home, so it would be wise to brush off a draw, but this is a good chance to achieve a rare away success.

special of the day

Aaron Wildig first goalscorer in Bradford vs Newport County – 15/1

Newport County have scored 15 goals this season, but that number has been boosted by a recent surge which has seen them concede goals in their last two games.

Key to their surge in output has been midfielder Aaron Wildig, who has assisted four goals in his last six games.

Wildig last scored in their 3–1 win over Salford and scored in three consecutive matches in late August and September.

The 32-year-old has already equaled his total for the entire campaign and is looking every bit the part to have a good game to get his name on the scoresheet this Monday.

Wilding scored the only goal in the win over Morecambe and could trouble a Bradford side who have kept just three clean sheets in 12 matches in all competitions this season.

long shot of the day

Barracas Central will win 1-0 or 2-0 and over 9.5 corners – 17/2

Barracas Central have won only two of 16 matches in the second tier of the Argentine Primera Division, but they beat Independiente Rivadavia in the first tier in March, and can repeat the feat on Monday evening.

The score was 3-1 to Barakas on that occasion and they will be desperate to improve on their position at the bottom of the standings with only 11 matches remaining.

Last time out, Barracas lost 2-1 to Central Cordoba, but before that they had won at Insituto and the performances are continuously improving.

That win in March involved 12 corners, so backing Barakas to take at least ten corners to ensure a narrow win seems like a great value betting option.
