Joined the Los Angeles Dodgers 40/40 Club in late August after a grand slam win over the Tampa Bay Rays.
Ohtani, 30, of Oshu, Japan, was signed to the Los Angeles Angels in 2018, where he spent six seasons with the team before signing a 10-year, $700 million contract with the Dodgers ahead of the 2024 season.
The two-time reigning MVP has recorded 196 hits with 54 home runs and 130 RBI this year.
Ohtani, the designated hitter for the Dodgers, is the fastest player in MLB history to join the 40/40 club, doing so in just 126 games, 21 games less than the previous record holder, Alfonso Soriano.
The Dodgers and Ohtani aim to break more records as they finish the regular season on Sunday in first place in the NL West with a 97-64 record.
