Austin Rivers is no longer in the NBA.

He was once considered one of the best prospects in the game, but that never materialized as a professional player.

As of today, after a lot of sharp comments and controversial remarks, no team seems interested in his services.

That’s why he shared his thoughts on Instagram about how politics can weigh “heavy” and how he still has more potential left than other players.

Notably, guys like John Wall, Quinn Cook, and Tyus Jones agreed with him.

“Facts bra,” John Wall said.

“Mixtape goats fr!” said Tyus Jones.

It’s not surprising to see that players in similar positions like Wall and Cook feel the same way.

Like other veteran players, Rivers can still be useful in the league, even if only in an advisory role.

Still, he might not be able to make the kind of impact teams would want their youngsters to have.

The same is true of players like DeMarcus Cousins or Dwight Howard, who could still play at a high level, but their personalities eluded them in the league.

The veteran players are fundamental and should still have a place in the league.

Whether or not Rivers should get any of these spots is an entirely different debate.
