On Thursday, the Philadelphia Eagles further bolstered an already very strong roster by trading three 2025 draft picks to the Washington Commanders for wide receiver Jahan Dotson.
While Dotson isn’t a star, he could give the Eagles something they certainly need: a No. 3 threat at wide receiver.
On the other hand, new Commanders offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury said he wishes Dotson the best, and also said he likes his team’s current wide receiver situation, per JP Finley.

The Commanders took Dotson 16th in the 2022 draft after a strong stint at Pennsylvania State University, and in two years with them he caught 84 passes for 1,041 yards and 11 touchdowns.
Now he’ll go from a rebuilding team to at least an outside chance of winning a Super Bowl championship.
For now, Washington has some solid hope for the future thanks to freshman quarterback Jaden Daniels, the second pick in April’s draft who was announced as their starter earlier this week.
They have an established, reliable player in Terry McLaurin, and they are hoping a youngster like Luke McCaffrey will emerge as an additional threat.
McCaffrey is the younger brother of San Francisco 49ers star running back Christian McCaffrey, and while at Rice University in Texas, he had 71 catches for 992 yards and 13 touchdowns last season.
Washington also signed veteran dual-threat running back Austin Ekeler, formerly of the Los Angeles Chargers, and they hope he still has plenty of fire left at 29 years old.
