Cambridge United vs Burton – Cambridge United at 10/11 with bet365

It’s a battle of the bottom two in League One on Saturday and it’s highly likely that the home side, Cambridge, will hold the lead when they take on Burton.

Both have endured poor starts to the campaign and are already looking to improve, but United have regained some momentum after taking just one point from their opening nine games.

But none of their eight defeats were by more than two goals and 2–0 wins over Wigan and Stevenage have made many realize that demotion may not be a formality.

Meanwhile, the Brewers are on a six-straight losing streak, having conceded at least two defeats in nine of their 11 contests and have just one win in their last 12 road games.

Grimsby vs MK Dons – MK Dons at 6/5 with Bet365

MK Dons have improved under their highly-rated manager Scott Lindsay, securing 11 points in six games since the 52-year-old’s appointment, and they should be too strong for inconsistent Grimsby in the League Two clash at Blundell Park.

Lindsay took over the team that was 19th in the standings and has already led them to 12th.

The Dons were not at their best during Tuesday’s 2-1 win at home to Accrington, but they have won their last two games and have scored eight goals in that period.

Lindsay’s side are ambitious in their push for promotion and their resurgence is bad news for the seventh-placed Mariners, who have lost three of their last four home games.

Mansfield vs Birmingham – Birmingham at 8/11 with bet365

Birmingham are already 2-7 off course to win the League One title despite just 11 games into the 46-match campaign, but it’s easy to see why they’ve won nine of them with 22 goals scored.

The Blues spent heavily in the summer to return to the Championship at the first time of asking and it looks like the investment money could be paying off.

Birmingham have won four of their five away league games and can repeat the trick at Mansfield, who can be happy with their fourth-place finish.

The Stags have won six of their last seven league matches but have benefited from a soft schedule, with 16th-placed Blackpool their highest-ranked victim in that period.

Derby vs Hull – Hull to draw no bets 11/10 with bet365

Hull performed admirably in Wednesday night’s 1-1 draw with Burnley and came close to registering victory over the Clarets at the MKM Stadium.

And before the international break, they had three wins in their last four games, so they could be a value draw-no-bet selection on the road to the derby.

Derby were held to a 1-1 draw by Oxford last time out and that means they have won only one of their last six games. They deserve to be opposed.

NAC Breda vs RKC Waalwijk – NAC to win at 10/11 with Bet365

RKC Waalwijk has taken just one point from a possible 27 in the Eredivisie this season and find themselves bottom of the table, expected to suffer a ninth defeat of the campaign when they visit Breda on Saturday.

The visitors have shipped 13 times in their four away matches this season and have faced a NAC team that defeated Ajax at home earlier this season. It was the first of three home wins in four games for Saturday’s hosts, and they enter the tie having won their last three Eredivisie assignments.

Angers vs Saint-Etienne – Saint-Etienne to win at 19/10 with Bet365

Saint-Etienne did the league double over Angers in Ligue 2 last season and they can continue that dominance when the pair resume their rivalry on Saturday as top-flight outfits.

Both of these teams are struggling but Les Verts are at least able to produce some results, while Angers is still winless after eight games (D4, L4).

Le SCO have managed to stem the rot to some extent as all four of their stalemates have come in their last five matches but they have had better results. Angers have only one point to show from four games so far at the Stade Raymond-Copa, and Saint-Etienne won 3-0 when they last visited this venue.

Apart from the 8-0 defeat in Nice, Les Verts have been largely competitive and created a few chances last time they beat a good Lens team, they will find Angers a little easier to deal with and look to be in good shape. Get maximum marks.
