Its key details include the attractive black-panel grille with three-pointed star motif, digital lights with projector function, AMG-styled front bumper and large 21-inch AMG alloys that become visible as you move to the sides . It is divided into three screens – the instrument cluster, the infotainment system and a personalized screen for the front passenger. Powering this luxo barge is a dual motor set-up that draws its power from a 122kWh battery pack. This means a power output of 544 PS and 858 Nm of torque. All this power allows the SUV to go from 0-100 km/h in just 4.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 210 km/h. On a single charge, the EQS SUV has a range of 809 km, which translates to 700-720 km in real-world conditions. Fast charging capabilities allow it to charge from 10% to 80% in about 30 minutes at high-speed charging stations, making long trips easier and more convenient.

The steering is very light. Even sharp corners are easy to handle, thanks to the active rear steering, where the rear wheels turn in the opposite direction to give this SUV smaller turns. The comfort level is top notch and the ride quality matches what you would expect from the S-Class as it is equipped with an adaptive damping air suspension system.

When it comes to safety, the Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV comes equipped with all the key features you would expect and also gets Level 2 ADAS features. These include semi-autonomous driving capabilities like lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, automated parking, and more. These features are very sensitive and sometimes you may feel the need to turn them off. A prime example is the front collision avoidance system. Being highly sensitive, it senses pedestrians, cyclists and other vehicles and brakes hard to reduce accidents. But on crowded urban roads, especially in India, this can sometimes be inconvenient.
