If the Las Vegas Raiders want to trade their star wide receiver, the New York Jets are reportedly at the top of the wish list for Davante Adams, and a reunion with quarterback Aaron Rodgers is at the top of the odds with multiple prospects.

The Jets are the favorite to land Adams at -150 on Sportsbetting.ag, where the market opened at +100 in New York on Wednesday morning. That quickly changed with ESPN reporting that Adams preferred the Big Apple or the Big Easy, where another potential reunion with former Raiders quarterback Derek Carr awaits.

Following the report, the odds of the New Orleans Saints trading for Adams shifted from +700 to +300, tying with the Washington Commanders for second-lowest all-time. While it might be tempting to add Adams to the league’s sixth-ranked offense by dynamic rookie quarterback Jaden Daniels, the Commanders could also opt to address their 27th-ranked defense if they hit the trade market.

Other significant activity in the hours after the Adams market opened included the Dallas Cowboys, who were initially projected at +6600. However, the Cowboys would make a lot of sense for many analysts, who view Adams as a quick way for owner/general manager Jerry Jones to add firepower to an offense that lacks elite playmakers outside of CeeDee Lamb.

Going in the other direction were the Kansas City Chiefs, who started at +500. However, they are reportedly not considering a trade for Adams while evaluating the severity of the knee injury suffered by top wideout Rashee Rice on Sunday.

Carr was Adams’ teammate at Fresno State and with the Raiders in 2022, while Rodgers threw passes to the six-time Pro Bowler for eight seasons with the Green Bay Packers from 2014-21.

Adams missed Sunday’s game with a hamstring injury as the Raiders (2-2) beat the Cleveland Browns 20-16.

In the first three games this season, he caught 18 of 27 targets for 209 yards and one touchdown.

Adams surpassed 1,000 receiving yards in each of his first two seasons with the Raiders: 1,516 yards and a league-high 14 touchdowns in 2022 and 1,144 yards and eight TDs in 2023.

Adams is under contract through the 2026 season.

The NFL trade deadline is November 5th. Las Vegas has reportedly informed other teams that any trade offer must include a second-round draft pick and additional compensation, according to ESPN.
