Daniel Jones: Giants offense ‘very disappointing’ to take a step back against Bengals

New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones felt the offense lacked in the team’s 17-7 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. sunday night football,

Jones told reporters after the game that it was “very disappointing” that the Giants scored only seven points this week after an impressive 29–20 win over the Seattle Seahawks in Week 5:

“I think we’ve taken steps and progressed as an offense, obviously we didn’t do that today.”

The Giants actually outshot the Bengals 309-304 and won 34:07-25:53 of possession time in Sunday night’s loss. However, New York struggled to get into the end zone, returning to its issues from the beginning of the season.

Jones completed 22 of his 41 passes for 205 yards, no touchdowns and one interception. He also led the Giants with 56 rushing yards on 11 carries. The loss continued their struggles in prime-time games:

Jones and the Giants will try to bounce back next Sunday when they face the Philadelphia Eagles in an NFC East battle.
