Craig Bellamy urges Aaron Ramsey not to take up coaching role while playing

“That was the first time I saw it really up close. I didn’t come into contact with it while playing intelligently.

“After seeing Vinny do it at Anderlecht I probably wouldn’t recommend it.

“I think he felt that too and decided he would either continue playing or become a manager. He chose the managerial path. It is difficult.”

“I talk to Aaron a lot and I try to involve him tactically in what we try to do. He comes to meet me at Dragon Park (the Football Association of Wales training centre) and we go over a few things.

“I have known Aaron since he was five years old and I knew he would become a professional footballer even then, which is very rare.

“This allows us to have a good level of communication.”
