The Coca-Cola Company has launched an exciting New platform geared towards HBCUThey have launched The World Is My Yard, an HBCU-focused platform available in the company’s +One app. The World Is My Yard offers exclusively HBCU students With a wide variety of resources, engaging content and campus experiences.
The program, which is based on three pillars, seeks to revitalize students’ perspectives, prepare them for the real world, and celebrate the tradition and heritage of HBCUs. It gives students a place to achieve their post-college goals while continuing on their educational path. The platform will provide opportunities for internship and externship programs, HBCU ambassadorships, and virtual course content to help students prepare for post-graduation life.
Students will also have access to the ZIYNX Academy, a virtual microprogram designed to help student-athletes prepare for the transition from athletics to the workforce. Access to Project XL is another resource provided by The World Is My Yard. Project XL offers adaptive leadership, innovation and strategic thinking courses through its partnership with the Urban Edge Network and Accenture Song. This innovative program seeks to establish a new talent pipeline by providing underrepresented HBCU students opportunities to connect with top companies for training and upskilling.
