The Houston Texans are one of the few teams in the NFL that are undefeated through two weeks, and they will look to put that record to the test when they take on the Minnesota Vikings in Week 3.
Like the Texans, the Vikings are also 2-0, but are doing so with less talent on the offensive end as they have Sam Darnold at quarterback.
Darnold signed with Minnesota in the offseason and will be the starter for the remainder of the 2024 NFL season, as rookie JJ McCarthy undergoes meniscus surgery.
On the other hand, Houston has CJ Stroud who is looking like the next young superstar quarterback in the league after a strong rookie year.
Stroud hasn’t performed like he did last season, but is still showing improvement in key areas.
Prior to the Week 3 matchup against Minnesota, Stroud couldn’t stop raving about head coach Kevin O’Connell via The Purple Persuasion.
“I like Kevin O’Connell a lot,” Stroud said. “I think he’s a great coordinator, I think he’s a great leader. I think he’s played quarterback, so he understands what it’s like to be back there. So I’m a big fan of his.”

O’Connell has established himself as one of the best offensive players in the NFL today, and he deserves Stroud’s praise because of his track record.
O’Connell has found a recipe for offensive success no matter who he has under center, so the Texans need to come out all prepared if they want to secure another win.
