CA’s first in 43 years, Brisbane loses opening Ashes Test, day-night test started from Adelaide

Cricket Australia has announced the Test venues and dates for the 2025-26 Ashes series, in anticipation of a huge influx of tourists for the series.
The series will commence from November 21-25, 2025 at the Perth Stadium. The following Test matches are a day-night match at Brisbane (4–8 December), Adelaide Oval (17–21 December), Melbourne (26–30 December). and Sydney 4–8 January.

This will be the first time Brisbane has not hosted the opening match of an Ashes series since 1982–83 when it was hosted by Perth.
Adelaide has been the main home of the Day-Night Test since the first Test in 2015 and has hosted the last two Ashes Day-Night Tests in 2017–18 and 2021–22, as the second Test in the Ashes series rotation. Is in. Traditional Gabba opener.
