At the conclusion of “Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Chicago Bears,” it’s hard not to feel good about this team.
Yes, the Bears are 0-0. The real season doesn’t start until Sunday at 1 p.m. when the team welcomes the Tennessee Titans to town.
But good winds have been blowing throughout the preseason, with the Bears going 4-0. Quarterback Caleb Williams, the No. 1 overall draft pick, looks ready for prime time. The Bears seem to be gelling well both on and off the field, as their chemistry was clearly evident during the season opener.
Take, for example, the interaction between star cornerback Jalen Johnson and rookie wide receiver Rome Odunje.
We’ll see if all of this translates into regular-season success soon, but for now, the fifth and final episode of “Hard Knocks” saw the team conclude the preseason and cut down to a 53-man roster.
Bears general manager Ryan Pols spoke about that difficulty.
The Poles were in the news for a number of reasons on Tuesday. One of those reasons was the very tough cut of defensive back Adrian Colbert, who is a veteran player. he who has conquered He had to face many tragedies, adversities, and overwhelming obstacles in his life to become an NFL player.
Colbert didn’t make it to the final 53, and that obviously ate away at the Poles.
Eventually both the parties parted ways on good terms.

Adrian Colbert #Bear “Ryan has been really great,” GM Ryan Pols said. “He’s a great person, a great leader, and he works really hard with his players to create an environment where they’re allowed to be their true selves.” https://t.co/AgBBtyGuVw
The other reason was that the Bears received a trade offer on running back/wide receiver Velous Jones Jr., who eventually joined the team. However, Chicago made no move.

On the last episode of Hard Knocks, the conversation between Ryan Pols and Matt Eberflus centered on a team inquiring about Velous Jones Jr. via trade. It’s unclear what was being offered but Pols said he would “never go lower than fourth.”
Jones was selected in the third round of the 2022.
It is quite clear that the team values him a lot.

The Bears were offered a draft pick for Velous Jones, but Pols said he wouldn’t trade him for less than a fourth round pick. Chicago really appreciates his versatility. #thebears
After all, the vibe has been good for the Chicago Bears this preseason. Fans can at least say they are very excited.

Some? #NFL Fans were upset at the lack of drama #Bear But #hard KnocksBut what drama is there on this team? This is the third year of a roster rebuilt by Ryan Pols who values character and professionalism in his players. This group is focused on winning and not drama.

#hard Knocks It was a great season. The no swearing policy, the genuine empathy for injured players, the GM taking the time to criticize players who were cut. The franchise feels like it has steered the ship in the right direction. It feels great to be one #Bear Fans. It’s time for continued success.

The episode ends, of course, with a shot of Williams centering himself during practice as the regular season rapidly draws near.
Now the time has come, as the Bears kick off their game against the Titans on Sunday at 1 p.m. Eastern time.
