The Seattle Seahawks are engaged in a tight tug of war for control of the NFC West.
They are tied with the Arizona Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers and probably have a good chance at first place.
If Seattle wants to win the division, and therefore make the playoffs, it will have to get healthy, and that starts with wide receiver DK Metcalf, who missed the Week 8 loss to the Buffalo Bills with a knee injury .
Despite the idea that he will be able to return to play in Week 9 against the Los Angeles Rams, a discouraging update has come.

Metcalf is Seattle’s top threat and most productive skill player with 35 catches for 568 yards and three touchdowns this season.
He has helped quarterback Geno Smith have another impressive season and lead the NFL with 2,197 passing yards.
This game against Los Angeles will be huge for Seattle, as it will have playoff implications.
The Seahawks then have a bye week, and then face two more important divisional matchups, first on the road against the 49ers and then at home against the Cardinals.
