Start the Juan Soto Sweepstakes.
After the New York Yankees lost the World Series to the Los Angeles Dodgers, all eyes are now turning to the slugger’s impending free agency. He was asked about his mentality in the offseason after Wednesday’s Game 5 and he wasn’t closing the door on any team.
“I feel like every team has the same opportunity when I go into free agency,” Soto told reporters.
He was also asked specifically about the New York Mets and he echoed those thoughts when he said, “I don’t know what teams are going to come after me. Obviously, I’m rooting for it and every single team. I will be open, no door is closed, I will be available to all 30 teams.
