Double our 183/1 golf each way back here!

Zozo Championship Winner Prediction – Collin Morikawa at 7/1

The Zozo Championship may have lost some of its luster with the creation of the Fall Series, but the PGA Tour’s only Asia gathering has attracted a stellar trio in Xander Schauffele, Collin Morikawa and Hideki Matsuyama.

Schauffele has had a stellar season and Matsuyama won his way to the title in 2021 by five shots, but both may have to play second fiddle to Morikawa, who won by six strokes last year and is looking for a successful defence. Looks ready.

The 27-year-old, whose father is Japanese, has not claimed a title since winning it in 2023, but he has been a consistent PGA Tour contender over the past six months and had the lowest 72-hole score at the Tour Championship in his last Made. launch.

Morikawa proved his mettle in the 4-1 President’s Cup win last month with customary enthusiasm and has shown on several occasions that he knows how to compose himself after the break. Narashino, a tree-lined track where precise iron-play is vital to success, is an ideal fit.

Genesis Championship Winner Prediction – Yannick Paul at 22/1

The DP World Tour’s last visit to South Korea was with the 2023 Korea Championship at Jack Nicklaus Golf Club, but that only event, won by Pablo Larrazábal, has been absorbed by the Korean Tour’s Genesis Championship.

This co-sanctioned event features 90 DPWT players and 30 members of the Korean Tour. It takes place at the Jack Nicklaus Golf Club, which, as the title suggests, is one of the Golden Bear’s many global designs.

The two US-based Korean stars dominate the market, but Tom Kim disappointed when nominated for the Shriners Children’s Open last week and missed the cut, while Byeong Hun An’s form has dipped in recent months.

There is a lack of depth in this field, so it may be beneficial to focus on those sitting below the top two in the market, starting with Yannick Paul, who was runner-up at the French Open a fortnight ago.

Jack Nicklaus GC is a tough track when the wind blows, but the fairways are wide so the onus is on precise approach and Paul, who is fifth in greens hit in regulation at the DPWT this season, should be well suited to the venue .

Last week’s missed cut could prove to be a boon for the German, who has been busy over the past few months.
