‘I’m gonna win $1.7 million’ – Conor McGregor makes bold bet to make money on Francis Ngannou vs Renan Ferreira

Conor McGregor has put his money where his mouth is ahead of Francis Ngannou vs. Renan Ferreira.

The Cameroonian powerhouse is just hours away from making his long-awaited return to MMA against Ferreira at PFL Super Fights: Battle of the Giants in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Ngannou hasn’t stepped inside the cage since successfully defending the UFC heavyweight strap against Cyril Gane in January 2022.

Since then, Ngannou has parted ways with the UFC, signed to the PFL and competed in massive boxing bouts with Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua.

But now he’s ready to return to action in the sport that started his insane combat sports journey against 2023 PFL Heavyweight Tournament winner and ‘PFL vs. Bellator Champion of Champions’ super belt holder, Ferreira.

The 6ft 8in Brazilian is known for his knockout power and was out last fall preparing for a fight with flatlined two-weight Bellator champion Ryan Bader Ngannou.

McGregor is hoping Ferreira’s driving force will pay off as he has invested $500k on the South American giant.

“Tonight’s bet is for me. 500k on Ferreira to win by KO on 12/5. $1.7 million return,” he captioned a voice note posted on X/=.

McGregor touted his recent performance in sports betting during his voice note.

“Okay, guys, the ‘Notorious’ Conor McGregor is here,” he said.

“Fight night, fight night, fight night. Mac is back with his winning bet. My winning ratio on these bets is 100%.

“Ngannou is losing by knockout tonight. 12/5 The Brazilian has to knock him out and I’m betting half a million on it and I’m going to win back $1.7 million.

“That’s it. It’s a ruthless business and I’m a ruthless man.

McGregor then proved he was telling the truth by uploading a screenshot of his betting slip, giving him $1,675,000 back if Ferreira finished the fight inside the distance.

Ngannou opens as a -430 favorite among bookmakers, but when you have an ungodly powerhouse like Ferreira you always have a chance to land a punch.

With six fights during ‘The Predator’s time away from the sport, he has been far more active than Ngannou.
