The Los Angeles Dodgers used a combination of dominant pitching and an electric attack to earn an 8-0 victory against the New York Mets in Game 3 of the National League Championship on Wednesday.

The Dodgers got on the board early, scoring two runs in the second on an RBI single by Will Smith and a sac fly by Tommy Edman. From there, they never looked back, scoring two more runs in the fourth thanks to Enrique Hernandez’s two-run homer.

Shohei Ohtani put the game out of reach with a three-run home run in the seventh to take a comfortable 7–0 lead, and Max Muncy gave the Dodgers another insurance run on a leadoff homer in the ninth.

On the mound, starting pitcher Walker Buehler allowed six strikeouts and only three hits in his four innings before being relieved by Michael Kopech. Los Angeles used Kopech, Ryan Brasier, Blake Treinen and Ben Kasperius out of the bullpen for 12 strikeouts, allowing only one hit.

After the dominant win, fans praised the Dodgers for performing well both on the mound and on offense.

The Dodgers have all the momentum after Wednesday’s win, but the series is still at stake as Game 4 takes place Thursday in New York.

If the Dodgers can stay strong, they could take a comfortable 3–1 lead and be in position to take the series in Game 5.
