Nations League BTTS Long Haul
Austria vs Kazakhstan
Austria are favorites to beat Kazakhstan this weekend, but defensive issues could resurface. Having played some exciting football at the Euros, both teams have scored in eight of Austria’s last nine international matches.
The Austrian team faced little tournament trouble in its September fixtures, drawing 1–1 with Slovenia before losing 2–1 in Austria. Heading into the home clash with a Kazakhstan team who have lost five of their last six starts, Ralf Rangnick’s men should look to turn things around. However, the visitors have scored in three of their last four visits, so they are confident of getting a goal.
Norway vs Slovenia
Slovenia crashed out of the Euros after scoring just twice in four matches, but they are somewhat more adventurous outside of tournament football. The attack, led by the in-form Benjamin Cesco, could cause problems for Norway after scoring four goals in his two matches in September.
Norway have plenty of talent going forward, but they have managed to keep a clean sheet in their last five Nations League fixtures. Slovenia have scored in eight of their last nine away trips – while conceding goals in six of them in Oslo.

Alexander Isak and Victor Gyöckeres put in two impressive performances in Sweden’s September international matches. While Isak is absent for the October games, former Coventry striker Gyökeres could lead the line with Dejan Kulusevski in support.
This should see Sweden continue their explosive attacking form, but they have kept just two clean sheets in seven matches. Slovakia has scored in nine consecutive international matches, including in their last three matches at BTBS Euro 2024.
Czech Republic vs Albania
Each of the Czech Republic’s last nine matches have ended with both teams scoring, including a total of 10 goals in a September double-header. The hosts have scored in each of their last 12 international matches and that streak could continue on Friday.
Albania have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last six matches, while they gave Italy and Croatia a Euro 2024 scare by opening the scoring in both meetings. Both teams have scored in seven of their last eight Nations League games and this should be another open affair.
Croatia vs Scotland
Croatia are still squeezing what is left from the old core but are clearly seeing diminishing returns. After a group stage exit in Germany, Croatia lost 2–1 to Portugal in their Nations League opener.
Defensively, Croatia look weak, but they have scored in seven of their last eight games. Despite Scotland’s recent struggles, five of their last six matches have ended with both teams finding the net. After defeats to Poland and Portugal in the Nations League, they could strike in this trip to Zagreb.

Portugal conceded both of their wins in September and they head to Poland aiming to make it three wins from three. Roberto Martínez has an excellent record with them despite a disappointing performance at Euro 2024, so it is no surprise that their performances have improved in the Nations League.
Portugal will likely prove too strong for Poland, but the hosts will be hard to stop in Warsaw. He has scored in nine consecutive home matches, while in Germany he showed an eagerness for goals. Despite exiting the group stage, Poland scored and also conceded defeats in clashes with France, the Netherlands and Austria. They can trouble Portugal’s backline, so BTPS have made six appearances this Nations League in this clash.
