Lyon vs Marseille – Over 1.5 Marseille goals at 5/6 with bet365

Three goals is a small price to pay in a Ligue 1 clash on Sunday evening, but two or more seems the way to go for the visitors. Roberto De Zerbi has done a fantastic job with OM so far, leading them to three wins out of four games and scoring at least two goals in each.

Meanwhile, Lyon have gotten off to a slow start, conceding two or more goals in three of their first four games. The hosts have conceded at least twice in five of their last seven home Ligue 1 matches, and have conceded 15 goals. With that in mind, a courageous Marseille team could score some goals on this trip.

Brighton vs Nottingham Forest – Double Chance at Nottingham Forest or Evens with bet365

Nottingham Forest maintained their unbeaten status with a sensational 1-0 win over Liverpool last Saturday and their strong start to the season could continue when they face Brighton at the Amex.

Brighton are also unbeaten and reached the fourth round of the EFL Cup after beating Wolves 3-2 at home on Wednesday.

However, the Seagulls suffered a 0-0 draw with Ipswich last Saturday and now face a tough challenge against Forest, who have looked much better than last season.

Forest haven’t conceded a goal on their travels and can pick up at least a point on their south coast trip.

Manchester City vs Arsenal – Under 2.5 goals at 4/5 with bet365

It would be harsh to call Arsenal’s 1-0 win over Tottenham last week a thumping victory, but Gunners boss Mikel Arteta will be very pleased with his side’s defence and their confidence against their north London rivals.

And we can expect to see a similar approach when last season’s Premier League runners-up take on champions Manchester City on Sunday for the biggest match of the season so far.

Arteta perhaps paid the price for being less adventurous when his side secured a goalless draw at the Etihad last season, while a win would have put his former employers squarely ahead, but after being disappointed by Serie A holders Inter in the Champions League on Wednesday, this could be another tough game for the Citizens.

There was just one goal in two league meetings between the two teams last season and there was also a 1-1 draw in the Community Shield earlier in that campaign, so it seems reasonable to assume this will be a match that will see few goals despite Erling Haaland’s remarkable goal.

Brest vs Toulouse – Toulouse to win at 12/5 with bet365

Toulouse look worth taking a risk on as big-value underdogs when they play Brest in Ligue 1 on Sunday.

Brest came into the Champions League win over Sturm Graz in midweek but had to work hard to secure a 2-1 victory. In France’s top flight, they have started the campaign with three defeats in four games and look vulnerable against a Toulouse side who travel well.

Le Tefesse drew with Nice in their only outing so far and were perhaps unlucky not to take all three points, having ended last season with seven wins from their last eight Ligue 1 outings – beating the likes of PSG, Monaco and Lens in the process.

Villarreal vs Barcelona – Barcelona win odds are 17/20 with bet365

Barcelona lost 2-1 to Monaco in their Champions League opener after Eric Garcia received an early red card, but they should have enough to extend their winning streak in La Liga to ten matches by beating Villarreal.

Barca have scored 17 goals in winning their opening five league games of the season and produced an outstanding performance to beat Girona 4-1 last Sunday.

Villarreal have started the season well with three wins and two draws, but Barcelona are unbeaten in their last 16 visits to the Estadi de la Ceramica – winning 12 times – and can extend their winning streak to six this Sunday at the Yellow Submarine’s home ground.

Roma vs Udinese – Udinese or Draw Double Chance at 5/4 with bet365

There is no place for emotions in football, as proven by Roma’s decision to sack club legend Daniele De Rossi just four games into the Serie A season.

Former Torino manager Ivan Juric has been appointed as De Rossi’s replacement after draws with Cagliari, Juventus and Genoa and a 2-1 home defeat to Empoli and Juric faces a tough start at home against Udinese.

Three wins, including one against Lazio, and a draw with Champions League representatives Bologna have put Udinese top of the table after four rounds of matches and they could frustrate their beleaguered hosts.
