Fields went 10-28 and completed only 60.3 percent of his passes during a three-year stint with Chicago.
But the former Ohio State star threw for a total of 40 touchdowns and rushed for 1,143 yards in 2022.
In February, Fields clarify that he wanted Stay in Chicago,
“Of course I want to stay here,” Fields said on the St. Brown Brothers podcast. “I can’t see myself playing anywhere else. But if it was up to me, I would want to stay in Chicago. I love this city. The city is vibrant. The fans and the people are great.
“It’s a business. I have no control over it; whatever happens, happens. I think the biggest thing about everything that’s going on right now is I just want it to be over with. Like, just tell me if I’m being sold, tell me if I’m staying, this and that.”
Fields was transferred to Pittsburgh in March.
Chicago receives a 2025 sixth-round pick that becomes a fourth-round selection if Fields plays 51 percent of the snaps with the Steelers this season.
