Florida wide receiver Kahlil Jackson underwent surgery for a knee injury on Friday, and On3 and 247Sports reported that Jackson is out for the remainder of the season.
Jackson’s father, former Florida star wideout Willie Jackson, told On3 that the surgery was necessary for his son to “attempt to come back next season.”
Kahlil Jackson caught one pass for 13 yards for the Gators that lost 41-17 to Miami in the season opener last week.
This is the younger Jackson’s fourth year at Florida. After playing sparingly in 2021 and 2022, he’ll have 21 receptions for 251 yards and a touchdown in 2023.
